Obverse description Draped and veiled bust of Demeter facing right, her head adorned with a veil characteristic of the goddess of grain and fertility. The portrait is rendered in the Hellenistic tradition, with the veil drawn over the back of the head and the drapery visible at the truncation. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show typical patination consistent with a hammered bronze issue of the late Seleucid provincial series.
