Obverse description Draped bust of Lucilla facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Cilician bronze coinage of the Antonine period. The empress is depicted with an elaborately dressed coiffure, her drapery visible at the truncation of the shoulder. The encircling Greek legend ΛΟΥΚΙΛΛΑ ϹΕΒ identifies the subject as Lucilla Augusta, daughter of Marcus Aurelius and wife of Lucius Verus. The field is bordered by a beaded cord or dotted rim, characteristic of Mopsus civic issues.
