| Obverse description | Royal equestrian figure depicted in left-facing profile, the king mounted on horseback and raising his right hand to thrust a spear downward toward a crouching animal — identified tentatively as a lion or boar — positioned in the lower left field. A standard or royal emblem appears before the rider. A four-line Brahmi legend occupies the right field, reading Sri / ma ndha / rma pa / lah, translating as 'Sri Dharmapala.' Below the horse's forelegs, a two-line inscription reads kai / la, with the syllable vo appearing beneath the hind legs. |
