Reverse description Frontal facing bust rendered in a schematic, Romanesque style, depicting a broad-shouldered figure with a stylized face and beaded collar or necklace detail. To the left of the bust appears a volute or scroll-like symbol, and to the right a bifurcated or crown-like ornament, possibly representing an architectural or heraldic element. The entire design is surrounded by a double border of pellets and a continuous wavy or rope-like legend band of heavily stylized, largely illegible Latin characters. The overall composition is typical of the debased denier coinage of the Piast duchy of Greater Poland in the early thirteenth century.
