Obverse description Stylized laureate head facing left, rendered in the schematic Celtic artistic tradition. The hair is depicted as a mass of deeply incised, flowing pellet-and-line patterns occupying the upper field. Facial features are reduced to an angular, abstracted profile with a pronounced pointed nose and a single visible eye rendered as a lozenge form. A beaded border runs along the lower and left periphery of the flan.

Reverse description Stylized horse prancing to the left, its body rendered in a schematic Celtic manner with disjointed, abstracted limbs. Above the horse, a stylized caduceus is depicted horizontally, consisting of a central staff flanked by symmetrical wing-like or serpentine elements and a row of pellets. The tribal inscription VOL appears in the exergue beneath the horse, in Latin characters, identifying the issuing Allobrogian community.
