Reverse description Within a beaded inner circle, a frontal seated figure identified as a bishop or saint, shown enthroned or mounted, raising the right hand in a gesture of benediction and holding a crozier or sceptre in the left hand. The figure is rendered in a schematic Romanesque style with simplified facial features and stylized drapery folds. Small flanking symbols or letters may appear to either side of the figure in the field, though they are not clearly legible on this specimen. No continuous legend surrounds the design. The plain, broad flan and irregular outline are characteristic of hammered Bohemian deniers of the mid-12th century.
