| Obverse description | Crowned, enthroned frontal figure of Duke Vladislaus I, rendered in the Romanesque style typical of Bohemian bracteate-influenced deniers. The ruler is depicted seated in majesty, wearing a crown and royal robes, holding a sceptre or lance in the right hand and an orb or branch in the left. The figural composition is set within a plain inner field, the irregular flan edge forming a natural border. No legend is present; the design relies entirely on the royal image as the identifying device. |
