| Obverse description | Armored equestrian figure of a knight depicted in right profile, mounted on a galloping horse; the rider brandishes a spear or lance in his raised right hand and carries a shield on his left arm. The horse and rider are rendered in a bold, archaic Romanesque style characteristic of Bohemian deniers of the early twelfth century. The irregular hammered flan exhibits a slightly raised, uneven rim. |
