| Obverse description | Central field depicts a enthroned figure of the duke in frontal bust view, wearing a helmet or crown and holding a sceptre or lance, rendered in the Romanesque style typical of Bohemian deniers of the early 12th century. The figure is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A marginal legend in Latin characters runs around the periphery, partially legible due to the irregular flan and hammered manufacture. |
