| Obverse description | Central field displays a frontal bust of a bishop or ecclesiastical figure enclosed within a beaded inner circle, the figure vested in clerical robes and holding a patriarchal cross-staff in the right hand. The face is rendered in a stylized Romanesque manner with simple linear features. Scattered symbols or letters appear in the four quadrants of the outer field between the beaded border and the coin's irregular flan edge. The overall design is characteristic of late 11th- to early 12th-century Bohemian-Moravian hammered coinage, with flat, low-relief engraving. |
