Obverse description Central field dominated by a monogram composed of the interlaced letters O and V, referencing the bishop's name Oudalricus (Ulrich), rendered in a crude but bold hammered style characteristic of early medieval episcopal coinage. The monogram is enclosed within a circular inner ring. The surrounding legend reads ODELRICVS EPS (Episcopus), identifying the issuing bishop, distributed around the periphery in an irregular arrangement. The flan is notably uneven, with a pronounced lobate edge typical of hand-struck deniers of the period.
