Obverse description Central short cross pattée with flared terminals occupying the majority of the field, surrounded by a partial beaded border visible along the upper and right periphery of the irregular flan. The bishop's name legend is distributed around the cross in the field. The die-cutting is typical of 11th-century episcopal workshop production, with bold, slightly uneven relief characteristic of the hammered technique.
