Reverse description Three fleurs-de-lis arranged in a triangular formation within a beaded inner circle, representing the royal arms of France. The mint mark D for Lyon appears below the central fleur-de-lis. A cross pattee is positioned at the top of the circular Latin legend DENIER TOVRNOIS followed by the date, which runs between the inner beaded circle and the outer beaded border. The design is consistent with the traditional tournois coinage type inherited from the medieval French monetary system.
