Reverse description A bold plain cross occupies the central field, its arms extending nearly to the inner circle, enclosed within a quatrefoil (four-lobed) inner frame — the traditional Tournois type derived from the denier of Tours. A raised inner ring separates the central device from the surrounding legend annulus. The composition follows the long-established Tournois monetary iconography, here adapted to the reign of Charles VII.
