Reverse description A cross pattée occupies the central field, with arms that flare toward the periphery in a bold, angular style characteristic of 12th-century feudal coinage. The cross divides the flan into four quarters. A circular legend surrounds the cross, reading clockwise, identifying the issuing authority. The coin is struck on an irregular flan with some weakness at the edges, consistent with hammered production of this period.
