Obverse description Within a plain inner circle, a pattée cross occupies the central field, its arms widening toward the tips in characteristic Romanesque style. Four pellets are positioned in the angles of the cross, one in each quadrant between the arms. The flat, unadorned field and the absence of any legend reflect the anonymous, non-inscribed coinage tradition of medieval Hungary.
