Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, a crowned equestrian figure facing right, depicted in the Romanesque style, seated upon a horse shown in profile; the rider appears to hold a lance or spear upright in the right hand. A partial Latin legend runs along the outer margin of the flan, partially legible due to the irregular hammered fabric and die wear.

Reverse description Within a beaded inner circle, a frontal bust of a crowned ruler or ecclesiastical figure, rendered in the Romanesque style, with the head facing forward and wearing a crown; the figure raises the right hand in a gesture of benediction and holds an object, possibly a sceptre or orb, in the left hand. The surrounding field bears a partial Latin legend along the outer rim, largely illegible due to the crude hammered technique and worn surfaces.
