Reverse description A bold central cross divides the reverse field into four quarters, each canton containing a large pellet or bezant, forming a symmetrical quatrefoil arrangement. The cross and bezants are rendered in high relief characteristic of Rhenish Salian-era hammered coinage. A circular Latin inscription runs around the periphery of the field, referencing the mint site of Fritzlar, enclosed within a beaded inner border.
