Obverse description Schematic frontal bust of Bishop Sigebert rendered in crude relief, typical of Ottonian-Salian episcopal coinage. The face is depicted with large globular eyes and a stylized beard, with the figure appearing in episcopal vestments. The surrounding circular legend reads +SIGIRTVS EPS, identifying the issuing bishop. The design is characteristic of early 11th-century German ecclesiastical hammered coinage, with a broad, irregular flan and shallow die impression.
