Obverse description Frontal bust of the abbot, shown in schematic Romanesque style, holding a crosier in his right hand and a processional cross in his left, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The figure is rendered in crude but expressive relief characteristic of 12th-century ecclesiastical bracteate-influenced coinage. A Latin legend composed of separated initial letters alternating with cross pommée stops surrounds the central motif between the inner and outer beaded borders.
