Reverse description A right hand emerging from below, grasping a crozier that extends diagonally across the field, serving as a symbol of episcopal authority. The design is boldly rendered in low relief on an irregularly shaped flan, consistent with hammered coinage of the Lorraine region in the early 13th century. A circular uncial legend surrounds the central motif, identifying the issuing see. The coin exhibits a characteristic flan crack and surface porosity typical of surviving examples of this type.
Reverse script Latin (uncial)
Reverse lettering TVLLI
(Translation: Toul.)
