Obverse description Central field dominated by a large stylized marten passant (the heraldic symbol of Slavonia), rendered in a crude but bold hammered style. The marten is depicted in profile, oriented to the left, surrounded by a beaded inner circle. The circular legend MONETA REGIS SCLAVONIE runs along the outer border, separated from the central device by the beaded ring, with Latin lettering of Gothic character typical of late 13th-century Hungarian vassal coinage.
