Reverse description Within an inner circle, the Blessed Virgin Mary — Patrona Hungariae — is depicted as a crowned, glorified Madonna without a radiant halo, holding the Christ Child in her left arm. The reverse legend encircles the inner circle and terminates with the date. The composition follows the well-established Marian iconography adopted on Hungarian royal coinage from the late medieval period onward, presenting the Madonna in a frontal, hieratic pose.
