Reverse description A plain cross with expanded terminals divides the reverse field into four quarters, each containing a distinctive device: alternating orbs and annulets arranged symmetrically, consistent with the traditional Aragonese-Catalan coinage type. The cross design is bold and occupies the majority of the flan. A partial circular legend surrounds the design near the rim. The date of issue appears within the legend, and the strike, while crude and irregular, clearly conveys the principal design elements characteristic of Barcelona mint deniers of this reign.
