| Obverse description | The field displays the name ALIENOR arranged in two lines, reading from the 9 o'clock position. The inscription is set within a beaded inner circle, surrounded by the peripheral legend CO. VЄRMЄNDI. The lettering is executed in the characteristic Romanesque style typical of feudal French coinage of the late 12th and early 13th centuries. The overall design is consistent with the parisis monetary tradition of the Vermandois county under Countess Éléonore d'Alsace. |

| Additional information |
Éléonore d'Alsace inherited Vermandois through a protracted succession dispute that drew in the French crown directly. When Philip II absorbed the county into the royal domain upon her death in 1213, the independent coinage of Vermandois effectively ended — making issues struck in her name among the last autonomous deniers from this territory. The molette (spur rowel) differentiator distinguishes this second type from her earlier emissions and helps narrow the striking window within her tenure.
