Obverse description Frontal enthroned figure of the ruler, depicted in regal attire with a crown, seated on a throne. The sovereign holds a cross-tipped sceptre in the right hand and raises the left hand in a gesture of authority. The overall rendering is characteristic of Romanesque die-cutting, with stylized drapery folds and a flat, linear treatment of the figure. The field is plain, and the flan is irregular in shape as typical of hand-struck Bohemian bracteate-influenced deniers of the period.
