Obverse description Crude stylized royal bust facing right, set within a beaded inner circle. The effigy is rendered in the primitive Ottonian hammered style characteristic of late 10th-century Rhenish coinage, with schematic facial features and no drapery detail. The surrounding field bears the royal legend. Small decorative elements appear in the angles of the outer field.
Obverse script Latin

Reverse description Three-line central inscription arranged horizontally across the field, divided by two horizontal lines forming a tablet-like structure, referencing the Christian religion. The central inscription is enclosed within a circular border and surrounded by a peripheral legend naming the Andernach mint. The lettering is characteristically irregular and somewhat degenerate, typical of hammered deniers of this period and mint.
