Reverse description Central field presents a frontal enthroned figure, identified by the surrounding legend as Saint Wenceslas, the patron saint of Bohemia, depicted in a hieratic Romanesque style with a nimbus or crown. The figure is enclosed within a beaded or cable inner border, typical of Bohemian-Moravian deniers of the period. The retrograde or irregularly arranged Latin legend WENCEVESLAS runs around the periphery, invoking the dynastic and religious authority of the Přemyslid house.
