| Obverse description | Crude bust of a figure facing right, depicted with flowing hair, set within a beaded or dotted inner circle. The surrounding legend reads VILLA with the date 1642, partially visible around the periphery of the coin. The style is characteristic of provincial hammered coinage, with an irregularly struck flat field and somewhat indistinct, bold facial features typical of small Catalan copper issues of the mid-seventeenth century. |
