Obverse description Flat field bearing the city name LEODIVT (Liège) in large letters across the center, with a small cross or pellet below the inscription. The legend of Saint Lambert runs around the periphery in Latin capitals. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, characteristic of early medieval hammered coinage.
