| Reverse description | The reverse displays a large stylized floral or quatrefoil motif at the center of the field, composed of four lobed petals arranged symmetrically within a beaded inner circle. This decorative device is characteristic of deniers struck in the Tyrolean-Alpine region during the 13th century. The legend GORICIE is distributed around the beaded border, identifying the County of Görz as the issuing authority. The flan is irregular with typical hammered edge irregularities. The engraving is somewhat crude but consistent with provincial mint production of the era. |
