Obverse description Central field displays the quartered Hungarian royal shield — barry of eight gules and argent in the upper and lower quarters, with the patriarchal double cross on a mount in the dexter quarters — surmounted by the Hungarian apostolic crown. The mint marks K and B flank the shield at the lower left and right respectively. A beaded inner circle encloses the shield, with the royal titulary legend disposed around the periphery, including the date at the top of the coin.
