Reverse description A bold patriarchal (double-barred) cross occupies the central field, its arms extending to divide the design into four quadrants, each containing a mintmark or auxiliary mark. The cross is set within a beaded inner circle, with the surrounding field carrying a continuation of the royal Latin legend. The overall composition is typical of the simple, functional reverse designs employed on Hungarian deniers of the fifteenth century.
