Obverse description The obverse features the crowned Hungarian arms displayed at centre, the shield divided to show the traditional Hungarian barry of eight gules and argent on the dexter side and the apostolic double cross on a mount on the sinister side. The arms are supported by two elaborately rendered foliate supporters and surmounted by an open royal crown. The date appears in the upper field flanking the crown. A circular Latin legend surrounds the design within a beaded border.
