| Obverse description | Single-sided bracteate-style denier struck in the name of Leszek the White, Duke of Kraków. The central field bears a stylized architectural or figural motif rendered in bold relief, characteristic of early medieval Polish deniers produced under Piast rulers. The design is executed in a crude but vigorous hammered style typical of late 12th to early 13th century Silesian and Małopolska minting practice. The irregular flan and shallow strike result in partial detail across the field, with no legible peripheral legend apparent. |
