Reverse description Central field bearing a floral or foliate motif, likely a stylized cross or heraldic device, rendered in crude hammered relief with significant surface irregularity. The Latin inscription naming the city of Lérida (Ilerda) and the date 1643 are distributed around the design. The strike is characteristically weak and irregular throughout, consistent with small copper emergency coinage produced at the Lérida mint during the Catalan Revolt period.
