Obverse description Central double cross with a small letter or mintmark symbol in each of the four quadrants formed by the arms of the cross. The cross is boldly rendered in the hammered style typical of medieval Hungarian deniers. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central device, reading from the inner field outward. The overall design reflects the standard royal monetary iconography of mid-15th century Hungary under Ladislaus V.
