Obverse description Frontal crowned royal bust depicted in a schematic, medieval style, holding a sceptre in one hand and a patriarchal cross in the other. The figure is rendered in low relief within a beaded border, with the crown rendered as a simple diadem above the head. The overall style is characteristic of late 13th-century Hungarian hammered coinage, with bold but roughly executed details.

Reverse description An arch surmounted by a fleur-de-lis (lily), with the initial letters L and A flanking the arch on either side, identifying the issuer Ladislaus (IV). Beneath the arch, two turrets or bastions are separated by a central rosette in the field. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border, following the typical architectural motif style of Árpád-era Hungarian deniers.
