Reverse description A rampant eagle displayed in the field, representing the heraldic eagle of the Piast dynasty, rendered in bold relief with spread wings and turned head, facing left. The eagle occupies the majority of the flan and is enclosed within a beaded border running along the coin's irregular circumference. The execution is characteristic of the rough, expressive die-engraving style of early 14th-century Polish hammered coinage. No legend is present on the reverse.
