Obverse description Facing bust of the bishop in high relief, rendered in the Romanesque stylistic tradition, with a crozier (pastoral staff) depicted to the left of the figure and a beaded collar or necklace visible at the neck. The face is rendered frontally with schematic features typical of early 12th-century ecclesiastical coinage. A partial Latin legend is distributed around the field within a beaded inner border. The overall style is characteristic of Ottonian-Salian period episcopal deniers from the Upper Rhine region.
