Reverse description A voided cross with globules or pellets at each of the four terminals, centered within a plain inner circle. The arms of the cross are bold and evenly proportioned, with the voiding giving a double-armed appearance typical of medieval Netherlandish deniers of this period. The surrounding legend reads HOLLANT in Latin capitals, preceded by a cross pattée, identifying the County of Holland as the issuing authority.
