Reverse description Central field dominated by a composite monogram formed from interlaced letters in the angular uncial style typical of southern French feudal deniers, the whole evoking a cross-like arrangement. The monogram fills the flan with bold strokes and is encircled by a peripheral legend in uncial script reading LATO CIVI, identifying the mint city of Lectoure. The overall style is consistent with crude hammered feudal issues of the mid-fourteenth century.
