Jaromír ruled Bohemia three separate times — repeatedly deposed and restored, largely at the mercy of Holy Roman Emperor Henry II. His second reign began in 1004 only after Henry drove out the Polish duke Bolesław I Chrobry, who had briefly seized Bohemia and issued his own coinage there. The political instability meant minting activity under Jaromír was irregular at best.

Cach 247 is among the scarcer documented varieties of his coinage.
