Obverse description Central field occupied by a plain cross pattée, with triangular wedge-shaped ornaments filling each of the four quarters. The design is enclosed within a plain inner circle, beyond which runs the Latin legend in degraded Carolingian letterforms. The overall style is characteristic of late Carolingian feudal coinage, with the cross as the dominant motif. The flan is irregular, as typical of hammered deniers of this period.

Reverse description Central field bears a heavily degraded Carolingian monogram, reduced to an abstract cruciform design no longer clearly legible as a specific letter combination, reflecting the progressive stylistic debasement characteristic of immobilized feudal coinage of the 10th century. The monogram is surrounded by a beaded inner circle, beyond which the Latin legend runs along the periphery in debased letterforms. The flan is irregularly shaped and the strike uneven, consistent with contemporary hammered silver production.
