Obverse description Central pattée cross composed of four short arms, each terminating in splayed ends, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A single pellet occupies each of the four angles formed by the cross arms. The surrounding field bears a circular legend in Latin reading OTTO REX, separated by a cross stop. The flan is irregular in shape, typical of hand-struck medieval coinage, with the beaded border partially visible around the circumference.
