| Reverse description | Central motif consists of a stylised six-petalled rosette or star flower enclosed within a beaded inner circle, the petals rendered in relief with a characteristic almond or vesica shape. Triangular ornaments or wedge-shaped devices radiate outward between the beaded circle and the outer legend, filling the field with decorative regularity. Crescents or small curved devices appear in the outer quadrants, adding further ornamentation typical of Savoyard feudal coinage. The surrounding Latin legend reads SEGVSIA, denoting the mint city of Susa, preceded by a cross. The flan exhibits the typical irregular edge of a hammered medieval denier. |
