| Obverse description | Central pattée cross within a beaded inner circle, dividing the field into four quarters. The cross arms are boldly rendered in the Romanesque hammered style typical of southern French feudal coinage. Surrounding the inner circle, a circular legend in Latin reads the count's name and title. The coin exhibits the irregular flan characteristic of hand-struck medieval deniers. |
