| Reverse description | A stylized cross potent or plain cross occupies the central field of the reverse, rendered in the rough hammered style typical of early thirteenth-century Cypriot billon coinage. The cross divides the field into four quarters. The partial legend CYPRI appears around the periphery, serving as a geographic identifier for the island of Cyprus. The flan is irregular and the strike uneven, consistent with medieval hammered production. |
