Obverse description Frontal bust of Archbishop Hermann III within a beaded inner circle, depicted in a highly stylized Romanesque manner wearing a mitre or crown, with schematic drapery rendered as vertical striations below the bust. The figure is presented in full facing position with simplified facial features characteristic of late 11th-century Rhenish coinage. The surrounding circular legend reads HERIMANNVS ARCHIEP, separated by a cross pattée, all contained within a beaded border.
