Obverse description Facing bust of Archbishop Hermann II rendered in the Ottonian-Salian hammered style, depicted frontally with stylized facial features including large almond-shaped eyes and prominent nose. The figure wears ecclesiastical vestments with a collar or pectoral ornament indicated at the base of the neck, and the hair or mitre is rendered in a decorative, slightly abstracted manner. The bust occupies the central field of the coin, surrounded by a beaded inner border. The circular legend reading HERIMANN is interrupted by a cross pattée at the beginning of the inscription.
